This page is to prove our flexibility. Interbranche competence is the figurehead of cplusw which should be illustrated by the following examples. Consulting, mechanical design, production, assembly, procurement - where we could assist? |
Biotechnology and Pharma
| Project description |
Optical methods play a important role in biotechnologies and pharma research. Complex parts of tools that use these technologies are assembled by skilled persons at cplusw in small series. For this customer our activities span from designing over procurement to assembly and adjustment.
| Project description |
As well as in the semiconductor industrie biotechnology instruments make increasing use of the tool-cluster concept. Changing tools in the cluster needs a precise mechanical interface. Our task was the design and production of such a interface for tools in the 500 kg range.
Nanotechnology | |
| Project description |
Research at the cutting edge with magnet resonance tomography (MRT) needs a vibrationless environment. cplusw conducted the appropiate site survey before the building concept was fixed.
| Project description |
Routinely investigation of nano particles with transmission electron microscopy (TEM) required a special vibration isolation system. The lay out and set up of this concrete block on air springs were performed at cplusw. |

| Project description |
After expansion of a UHV scanning force microscope the need of a new isolation system came up. NV800, a standard air spring isolations system from cplusw , now do the job. |

Consumer Products | |
Zamac, sheet metal and plastic parts as they are used in vending machines.
We deliver critical plastic parts as rapid prototypes before series production. |
|
Medical engineering | |
| Project description |
Surgeries using microscopes could be fatigable and annoying to the physician in the presence of vibration. Structural analysis and improvement as well as prototype building can be ordered at cplusw in a bunch.
Process technology | |
| Project description |
Laser induced fluorescence (LIF) is able to identify rock qualities by their fluorescence fingerprints. The customer asked cplusw to develop optics, electrics and mechanics for using LIF in a harsh surface mining environment. The resulting machine measures the concentration of MgO in real time of material on a conveyor belt. | Using LIF for measuring the MgO concentration. |
| Project description |
The semiconductor industrie has the demand of nearly 100 % up-time for process tools. To meet this, many tool manufacturer specify special environmental conditions. These are measured and analysed by cplusw to determine the usability of the planned location for the tool. | Survey in a cleanroom |
Information Technology
| Project description |
Demolition of a large building complex adjacent to the site of a mobile services provider produced large vibration. The customers concern was the possible affection of his data integrity. The computer servers were placed in the basement of the building and had been surveyed together with a partner company for months in order to conserve evidence in the case of data loss. Measurement data was checked via internet connection daily. | Measurement at the server location
Demolition at neighbouring site |

The question here was, if a running turbine of the Eurofighter could degrade the performance of network components installed in a so called shelter. cplusw conducted a measurement campaign and picked up the vibration in the very near of a turbine running at 80 per cent of its nominal thrust. | Waiting for the Eurofighter. |
| Project description |
Hard disks on ships are subject to vibrations which can cause temporary failures. We designed a highly effective frame that makes off-the-shelf computers withstand corresponding vibration tests of classification societies. | Performance Test of vibration isolation system. |

Measurements on wind energie plants | Mast vibration
Noise reduction on wind turbine gearbox |
| Project description |
Steam turbine pedestals may encounter a plurality of resonance peaks during shut down and restarting. It was the customers demand to reduce these vibration by viscoelastic means significantly. Using constrained layer techniques cplusw calculated appropriated measures on the basis of finite element analysis (FEA). The customer realised these very successfully. |
